Celebration
Motor City New Year’s Eve “The Drop” is the culmination of ideas and the passion of four Detroit area supporters who see an unmet need and opportunity in the midst of Detroit’s continuing renaissance.

We felt it vitally important from the beginning that we give Detroit and the surrounding metropolitan area a proper venue for celebrating the coming New Year with style, substance and a healthy dose of that famous spirit of Detroit.

Symbolism
Each New Year brings new challenges and within a city that has known many challenges in years past our symbol for hope and determination, tenacity and fortitude, and for our eventual destiny, is that cursive D. No matter where you might see it displayed in the world, it’s what binds us together. It’s our brand. It’s our rallying cry. It’s our D.

The Motor City New Year’s Eve “The Drop” is dedicated to the spirit of Detroit and to you. It’s yours. Join us in celebration this New Year’s Eve - of a New Year for a New Detroit!

Production
The Drop is produced by Motor City NYE L.L.C. Recent event involvement, planning and management has included among others: Mystique the masquerade at the Detroit Music Hall, BravoBravo! at the Detroit Opera House, the launch of the 31D clothing line and The Heat And Warmth Fund (THAW).
